Termly Fees
These are places that are available only during the nursery’s published term dates and would not normally suit a working parent unless they worked term time themselves. When a term time place is taken a retainer is charged and added to the weekly (or monthly) nursery fees, this is intended to hold the place and go towards paying towards staffing and other overheads that are still incurred during the holiday periods because it is not possible to fill the term time place during the holidays, which will be held open for your child. With a term time place it is possible to do a few extra sessions during holiday periods but this is strictly by prior arrangement with the manager who will consider whether this can be adequately staffed before agreeing. Such additional sessions will be charged at the standard rate (even if a nursery school child because the full grant subsidy will have been already used up). In order to bring the term dates more in line with the local authority and also to comply with the requirement that the nursery grant be provided over 38 weeks, we have increased the term time place by one week, beyond the published dates, to 38 weeks. The extra week will always be the second week of the whit break (see school terms dates on school website) other weeks will be as our published school term dates.
