We have a fantastic team here at The Cottage Nursery and everyone is passionate about providing the most professional service possible. We have an enthusiastic and dedicated Management Team and all of our Group Leaders are experienced and creative in their teaching. You will always receive a warm welcome when entering the nursery and we hope you will feel at home! All of our staff are committed and caring and have a loving approach towards childcare which is clear from the relationships between children and staff. The staff are hard working and take pride in their profession, they will take the time and effort to get to know your child as if they were their own. As a setting we pride ourselves on having an experienced and highly qualified work force. We exceed the Ofsted requirements for qualified staff and many of our staff are actively pursuing further qualifications. We have a Qualified Teacher on the Management Team and another Qualified Teacher running our Prep 1 Junior group. We have a strong Management Team and there is always a supernumerary manager available throughout the day, as well as a friendly secretary for any queries you may have, no matter how big or small! The Management Team has a clear vision for the nursery and always ensures that the children come first in everything that we do. The Management Team are driven and hands on and spend time in the rooms observing practice and mentoring our staff, our managers ensure we as a setting maintain high levels of childcare and education on a daily basis. We expect very high standards from our team, and have a thorough induction and training programme for new members of the team and newly  promoted staff. All of our staff are in receipt of an enhanced CRB / DBS check and the safeguarding of all children is of utmost importance within the nurseries. All staff are trained in safeguarding, and most hold their paediatric first aid qualification. Continued Professional Development is important to us to keep our staff up to date with the very best in childcare, therefore they regularly attend training on a variety of areas and also complete in-house twilight training sessions. At The Cottage Nursery we prepare fresh healthy meals and snacks on a daily basis in our onsite kitchens and our homemade lunches are prepared at our sister school by our wonderful chef. We cater for all dietary needs and requirements. We have an active Health & Safety committee who work in unison with the Management Team and our maintenance man allows us to constantly review and improve the nursery environment for our children and staff. We have two fantastic cleaners who help keep the rooms looking fresh and clean and a kitchen assistant who helps our staff over lunchtimes.
